{"id":656,"date":"2021-12-01T10:03:53","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T09:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gaycenter.it\/?p=656"},"modified":"2021-12-01T10:07:42","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T09:07:42","slug":"world-aids-day-1-dicembre-al-via-la-campagna-sei-al-sicuro-con-chi-lo-ha-di-sicuro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gaycenter.it\/en\/world-aids-day-1-dicembre-al-via-la-campagna-sei-al-sicuro-con-chi-lo-ha-di-sicuro\/","title":{"rendered":"WORLD AIDS DAY \u2013 DECEMBER 1 | THE &quot;YOU&#039;RE SAFE WITH THOSE WHO ARE SAFE&quot; CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED BY GAY CENTER AND RICCARDO PIRRONE, TAFFO&#039;S SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In <strong>on the occasion of World AIDS Day \u2013 December 1st<\/strong>, <strong>Gay Center, in collaboration with Riccardo Pirrone, social media manager of Taffo<\/strong>, launches the campaign \u201c<strong>You are safe with those who have it for sure<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe campaign aims to break down the stigma associated with the prejudice that people with HIV experience on a daily basis,\u201d he declares. <strong>Pietro Turano, Spokesperson for the Gay Center<\/strong>. \u201cThe campaign in fact says \u201cYou are safe with those who have it for sure\u201d precisely to reiterate the concept that <strong>An HIV-positive person who regularly follows therapy and has an undetectable viral load does not transmit the HIV virus<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c&quot;This is why we wanted to clarify,&quot; Turano adds, &quot;that nowadays it&#039;s unthinkable to reject an HIV-positive person believing this is a way to prevent the spread of the virus. This is actually achieved through the use of condoms or other prevention tools, such as regular testing or the use of PREP, pre-exposure prophylaxis, which drastically reduces the risk of contracting the virus.&quot;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c&quot;This is precisely why we wanted to dedicate the other two campaign cards to the importance of testing and all forms of protection, including PREP.
