The film won the Prix du scenario and the Queer Palm at Cannes, the Cesar Award for Best Cinematography, and the EFA Award for Best Screenplay.<\/p>\n

Celine Sciamma, a French director and screenwriter who is openly lesbian, won the Ottavio Mai Prize and the Audience Award at the Lovers Film Festival in Turin in 2011 for her second feature film, Tomboy.<\/p>\n
