The Gay Center It is a welcoming place that promotes services, initiatives and culture for the well being he rights of homosexuals and transsexuals, so that people and groups can reach their full potential.
The Gay Center is located in the heart of Rome, in via Zabaglia 14 and is among the main Italian centers for services aimed at the LGBT community, welcoming the experiences of the founding organizations: Arcigay Roma, ArciLesbica Roma – today Differenza Lesbica Roma -, NPS, Azione Trans. Every week hundreds of people visit the Gay Center and dozens of groups meet and talk.
One of the primary functions of the Gay Center is to provide an accessible space for initiative for LGBT organizations, many of which would otherwise have nowhere to go. collaboration, in fact, it is an opportunity for growth.
The Gay Center currently manages the experimental anti-discrimination service desk for counseling and support for people belonging to the LGBT+ community for Rome Capital, as well as territorial offices at the PUAs of Municipalities I, III and VI.
