How to Create a Birthday Fundraiser in Just Three Steps

Click on START A FUNDRAISER – click here

1. Select the cause you care about by clicking on “Personal fundraising”

Please be careful not to confuse this with “Collect organizations for nonprofits” as we have not yet activated this option

2. Choose the category Agency.

In the left column:

• in the section Add a company (optional) select “Gay Center”
• in the section What is the title of your fundraiser? Write “Casa Famiglia Refuge LGBT” or the title of the project you want to donate the fundraiser to.
• in the section Why are you raising money? we suggest you enter as text

“For my birthday, I decided to raise funds for the Refuge LGBT family home, which welcomes victims of homophobia into their families.”

or you can customize it as you like

• in the section How much money do you want to raise? Enter the amount you wish to collect
• in the section When should your fundraiser end? Enter the fundraising period. We suggest keeping it active until 2-3 days after your birthday.
• If you want, you can add a cover image (you'll find the Refuge LGBT logo at the bottom of the page)

3. Click on Create

Once the fundraiser has concluded, commit to match the donations.

Remember that you will receive the donations in your account and then you can send them via PayPal or bank transfer
