Rainbow Lab: A Journey Against Homophobic and Transphobic Bullying

Laboratorio Rainbow: un percorso contro il bullismo omotransfobico
The school year is coming to a close, and Gay Center shares its experience with "Rainbow Lab: a journey against homophobic and transphobic bullying.".
In 2024-25 we involved students in 8 secondary schools in Lazio and Umbria.
We publish here the results of the workshops conducted in 6 third-grade classes at the Armellini Technical Institute.
We talked with girls and boys about homophobic and transphobic stereotypes and prejudices, the emotional alphabet, combating bullying, and preventing isolation and hardship.
We've traveled a stretch of the road together, to put the right to happiness and the freedom to be visible at the center, without the fear of being judged or ridiculed.
We have told the story of the human rights movements for LGBTQIA+ people in Italy and around the world, as an experience of liberation from violence and oppression.
We have understood how important it is to be “a rainbow in someone else's cloud” (cit. Maya Angelou)
We thank the classes for drawing their message against homolesbobitransphobia with us.”
