A new workshop series for the ACT project – Alliance to Counteract Threats of Hate in Italy.

Homosexual, lesbian, and transphobic violence and hatred continue to significantly affect LGBTQIA+ people, significantly impacting their safety and fundamental rights. Recognizing hate and implementing supportive practices means creating increasingly safe and free spaces for self-expression.

With this aim, within the framework of the ACT project – Alliance to Counteract Threats of Hate in Italy promoted by our National Network against hate speech and phenomena,

Gay Center is organizing the workshop "Deconstructing Prejudice and Supporting Victims of Homosexual, Lesbian, and Transphobic Hate: Advocacy and Best Practices"“

Date and time: Saturday, May 9, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Location: Gay Center – Rainbowall, via Galvani 51F, Rome.

Participation is free, just register using this form

With the professionals who will be speaking, we will discuss language and the valorization of differences, the legal framework on hate crimes, gender affirmation rights in the workplace, and building safer spaces for queer people in social environments.
