COSPE LAUNCHES STAND UP AGAINST HATE CRIMES AND SPEECH

CRIMINI E DISCORSI D’ODIO, COSPE LANCIA STAND UP CONTRO RAZZISMO E OMOTRANSFOBIA
On the European Day of Victims of Hate, Gay Help Line takes a stand in defense of everyone's rights.
THE'’OSCE, the Observatory for Development and Co-operation in Europe, defines hate crimes as crimes motivated and committed on the basis of prejudice.. Prejudicial motivations are negative or preconceived opinions, intolerance, or hatred towards people who share a fundamental characteristic of their identity: ethnicity, language, religion, nationality, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
Crimes motivated by homophobia and transphobia are hate crimes.
This is why Gay Help Line is part of the project “Stand Up for Victims' Rights” promoted by the non-profit associations COSPE and Amnesty International, within which he contributed to the drafting of brochures, pamphlets and informational materials.
To inform and support those who experience physical and verbal aggression motivated by prejudice based on sexual orientation and gender identity. To ensure that those affected by homolesbobitransphobia have the right to report and be protected.
That thanks to services like Gay Help Line, we can all take action to protect ourselves.
This is also thanks to the contribution of those who do not remain indifferent in the face of violence.
Let's wish the project success Stand Up for Victims' Rights will be presented to the public today, July 22, as part of the “Voices for Freedom” festival”
promoted by Amnesty International Italy.
Hatred always leaves its mark. Let's not remain indifferent.
